Benjamín Caraveo
Principal
Benjamín has a solid background operating businesses in several industries and countries, starting by founding ArrendaExpress in his early 20s, one of the first pure leasing companies in Mexico. Since, he has accumulated more than 30 years of experience serving as COO, CFO, CEO and Chairman.

Prior founding Caraveo Partners he served as Director of Financial Controlling for Grupo TMM (GTMM:MX), led the Investment Banking office at Invex Capital, managing several M&A transactions, he also led few SMEs buyouts and turnovers and finished his operator chapter closing the acquisition of Arrachera House and Sixties Burgers by Nexxus Capital. In aggregate, he brings over a two decades of experience in M&A advisory

Benjamín holds a bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad Anahuac México Norte where he graduated Summa Cum Laude.

Carlos Caraveo
Director
Carlos over the years has built a strong financial professional profile, starting his career as Financial Planning Manager at Grupo Cifra, where he led the evaluation of business opportunities for Aurrera, Vips, Suburbia, and Bodega Aurrera.
He served as Treasury & Financing Director at Fermaca, Managing Director of Finance for PEMEX where he was responsible for obtaining the external financial requirements for investments and expansion programs, and served as financial operations manager at PMI Group where he had over $50 Billion USD of AUM, he also served as Board Member for BANOBRAS and CEO of Fondo de Fondos.

Carlos holds a bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad Anahuac and a Finance Degree from Kellogg School of Management.

Benjamín Caraveo III
Senior Associate
Benjamín Jr. joined Caraveo Partners in 2022. He brings over 10 years of experience in venture capital and private equity, with a strong track record in structuring investment and financing transactions for startups and real estate developments.
He has collaborated with two Y Combinator–backed startups as part of their founding teams and led the market expansion of an international NGO, serving as Country Manager. In addition, he has a strong entrepreneurial track record, having founded FridaCP, Cajita, and co-founded Laude, companies focused on Mexican coffee and wine with operations across Mexico and Australasia, and later co-founded Friendlease, a technology-enabled truck leasing platform.

Benjamín holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana where he also served as President of the Student Council ('14-'15) and the Alumni Association ('17-'19).
